FAQs

  • B Street Collaborative is an arts catalyst.  We exist to energize, inspire and elevate artists. We do this by providing affordable creative space, facilitating mentorship opportunities, bolstering a sense of community, promoting artists, incubating bold ideas, investing in creative initiatives and advocacy.

Our first and most important project in our pursuit of this goal has been the creation of The B Street Arts Hub.

The B Street Arts Hub is a physical space located at Bathurst and Dupont in Toronto. This state-of-the-art facility provides artists with inspiring, affordable creative workspace, including a compact rehearsal hall, a self-tape studio, a recording studio, The Jon Kaplan Community Lounge and Library, a Mentorship Studio, a boardroom and two private video conferencing rooms.

  • TAPA is an arts service organization that represents the interests of over 100 theatre, opera and dance companies. TAPA and B Street Collaborative operate The B Street Arts Hub collaboratively.

B Street Collaborative conceived of, designed, and built the Hub, while TAPA leads the day-to-day operations.

Both organizations have their offices in the building and collaborate on programming. All bookings of the space are handled by TAPA.

  • You do not need a membership to use the Phone Booths at B Street; however, access for non-members is granted on a first-come, first-served basis. TAPA Members are able to reserve the Phone Booths in advance.

Similarly, TAPA Members can reserve the Boardroom at any time through the TAPA online portal. Non-members must contact TAPA directly to arrange a Boardroom booking.

All are welcome to use the Jon Kaplan Community Lounge/Library at any time for creative collaboration and socialization.
