BSC Award for Dance

The B Street Collaborative Award for Dance is a juried new works aware presented in partnership with the Toronto Fringe. Rooted in our commitment to artist development, the award celebrates and emboldens Toronto’s most innovative independent dance artists—creators whose work expands the possibilities of movement and challenges the boundaries of the form.

We blieve bold new ideas need space, support, and tangible opportunitiy. This award was created to help remove financial and structural barriers for choreographers and movement artists developing a new, previously unproduced work. By pairing artistic recognition with meaningful production support, we aim to ensure that daring, imaginative new dance pieces can be fully realized and shared with audiences.

The winner will receive a free performance slot in the 2026 Toronto Fringe Festival (June 30-July 12, 2026) as well as a bursary of $2,000.
