The Emerging Playwrights Reading Series

In collaboration with Liza Hersh, Aurora McClennan and The Flare Productions, B Street Collaborative was proud to be a presenting partner on a new Emerging Playwrights Reading Series.

The Emerging Playwrights Reading Series was a series of staged readings that showcased three new Canadian plays written by Justin Otto and Thea Fitz-James, Rebecca Ostroff and Keara Voo. The series was created by and for early career artists as a response to feedback surrounding the challenges associated with transitioning into professional spaces.

Under the guidance of established directors, the playwrights were provided a one week workshop exploration to develop their plays-in-progress, culminating in a festival of staged readings on January 24th and 25th at The Theatre Centre.
